Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer will plan, organize, and perform Electrical engineering activities and provide direction to the electrical engineering team
The Electrical Engineer will assure compliance with Client, Jacobs and industry standards on their assigned project
Candidate will develop key Electrical deliverables in the preparation of scopes of work and estimates to support the project
Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications
Perform tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer license
At least 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), and IEEE standards
Experience with UPS and EPMS Systems
Experience with generator sizing and paralleling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
US Citizen
Must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
Preferred
Electrical design experience
Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary and international teams
