Vice President of Product Management, Data Platform

Responsibilities
Lead the "Hybrid" product vision for the data platform, ensuring customers can move data and workloads seamlessly between on-premises data centers and public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) without friction
Drive the strategy for CDP Public Cloud Data Hub and CDP Private Cloud Base, providing a unified management plane for diverse enterprise workloads
Partner with the Global VP of Product and fellow product leaders to ensure the platform layer perfectly supports Cloudera’s SQL, Operational DB, and Data Engineering engines
Collaborate with the SDX (Shared Data Experience) team to ensure that security, metadata, and governance are "baked into" the platform layer, providing a consistent compliance posture across all environments
Scale Cloudera Observability into a market-leading toolset for FinOps, performance tuning, and predictive maintenance across the entire hybrid estate
Lead a global organization of Product Directors and Managers, establishing a culture of high-velocity delivery, customer empathy, and technical rigor
Act as a key executive voice with industry analysts and C-suite customers, articulating how Cloudera’s hybrid platform outpaces "cloud-only" or "on-prem-only" competitors
Oversee the strategic roadmap for Cloudera’s storage foundation, managing the lifecycle of HDFS while aggressively driving the adoption of Cloudera Object Store (Ozone) as the future of high-performance, exabyte-scale enterprise storage
Establish and monitor a rigorous framework of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the health of the business and the quality of the technology stack
Qualification
Required
Bsc/Msc in related field or equivalent experience
Executive Leadership: 15+ years in Product Management, with a proven track record of managing $100M+ product portfolios and leading global PM teams
Hybrid Cloud Expertise: Deep technical and business understanding of the trade-offs between Private Cloud and Public Cloud (IaaS/PaaS) environments
Systems Thinking: The ability to see the 'big picture' of how storage, compute, and governance layers must interact to deliver a seamless user experience
Stakeholder Influence: Experience working within a complex, multi-functional product organization, successfully navigating competing priorities to achieve unified platform goals
Customer-Centricity: A history of partnering with Fortune 500 CIOs/CTOs to solve massive-scale data infrastructure challenges
Operational Excellence: Experience driving product-led growth (PLG) initiatives, cloud margin optimization, and disciplined roadmap execution
Preferred
Data Platform Knowledge: Significant understanding of the Apache Software Foundation ecosystem (Big Data Platforms and data governance) and Data Platform ecosystem
Data Innovation: Specific experience in transitioning legacy file systems to modern, S3-compatible object storage architectures
Data Governance Fluency: A strong understanding of how the platform layer enables advanced data privacy and sovereignty requirements
