Director of Development & Community Partnerships

Midland Rape Crisis & Children’s Advocacy Center (MRCCAC) provides essential services to survivors of sexual assault and child abuse across the Permian Basin. The Director of Development & Community Partnerships is responsible for building and maintaining donor relationships, growing revenue, and engaging with the community to support MRCCAC's mission.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with corporations, foundations, businesses, civic groups, and individual donors across MRCCAC’s service area
Conduct regular in-person meetings, tours, and presentations to tell MRCCAC’s story and invite financial support
Cultivate and solicit unrestricted operating donations
Represent MRCCAC as a trusted community partner
Oversee all donor acknowledgment, recognition, and stewardship
Ensure timely, accurate, and personalized thank-you and impact communications
Maintain complete and accurate donor records, giving history, and relationship notes
Lead donor tours and relationship-building activities
Support grant-related relationship development and funder engagement
Make introductions between corporate and foundation partners and the grant team
Support grant proposals through donor relationships, introductions, and funder engagement when appropriate
Coordinate with finance and program teams to ensure funders receive timely and accurate information
Serve as lead staff for all fundraising events, with Wine, Women & Shoes (WWS) being the largest currently
Work closely with the Board Events Committee Chair to: Evaluate fundraising performance. Develop and launch new fundraising initiatives. Explore direct-mail campaigns, additional events, sponsorships, and other revenue streams
Manage sponsorships, donor engagement, and post-event follow-up
Support donor stewardship, pledge tracking, and materials
Assist with donor communications and reporting
Participate in meetings with foundations and major funders alongside Board member(s) and/or Capital Campaign Committee member(s) to support capital campaign relationship-building and funder engagement
Maintain MRCCAC’s donor and relationship management system (donor database)
Ensure all donor, funder, and grant information is accurate and up-to-date
Track donor engagement, retention, and revenue trends
Provide reports to leadership and the Board

Required

Proven success building donor and corporate relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort asking for financial support
Event fundraising leadership
Experience managing donor and funder information systems

Preferred

5+ years of nonprofit development, fundraising, or business development experience
Experience working with Boards of Directors
Capital campaign support experience
