VT Group (VTG) is looking for a Systems Administrator at Byte Systems, responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software. The role involves managing Windows operating systems, ensuring system integrity and security, and providing user support and training.

Responsibilities

Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems

Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems through approval and processing of patches

Interact with users and evaluates vendor products

Research and recommends hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery

Monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources

May program in an administrative language

Leverage scripting and system automation tools

Oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results

Provides advice and training to end-users

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice

Uses VMware to build and maintain virtual machines

Maintains systems documentation

Required

Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, with polygraph

Minimum five (5) years of related systems engineering experience in systems administration and analysis
