Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is seeking an experienced Director, Finance Transformation, to lead high-impact initiatives that advance the evolution of SPE’s global Finance function. This role involves owning a portfolio of complex transformation initiatives and driving strategic decision-making to ensure delivery of measurable business value.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, including operating model design, process optimization, and system-enabled change, driving results through disciplined project management and change leadership
Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance and the business—from Analysts through the CFO—to map key systems and end-to-end processes, manage ambiguity, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and drive alignment on prioritized opportunities
Own and direct delivery of multiple, concurrent initiatives, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, governance, and measurable outcomes while optimizing work processes and managing cross-team conflict
Proactively develop and recommend future-state designs, including process, operating model, and system changes, and communicate relevant transformation roadmaps, business cases, and value realization plans using structured, Minto Memo–style logic
Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and thought leadership, and influencing executive decision-making through clear storytelling and well-structured PowerPoint materials
Identify risks, dependencies, and change impacts; proactively manage mitigation strategies
Oversee analytical frameworks, financial models, and KPIs used to assess performance and value creation
Guide the adoption and change management efforts to ensure sustainable implementation, aligning stakeholders, and reinforcing new ways of working
Coach and mentor analysts and managers, fostering strong analytical rigor, collaboration, and professional growth while attracting and developing top talent
Support the Office of the CFO on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and executive-level communications

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, analytics, or related field
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance, consulting, or transformation roles, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization
Strong understanding of financial planning, accounting, reporting, and analytics processes and systems
Exceptional executive communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex topics and influence senior stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to build business cases, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive data-informed decisions
Experience with finance systems, data platforms, and analytics tools; advanced Excel required
Strong project and change management capabilities
High level of judgment, accountability, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments
Collaborative leadership style with a track record of developing high-performing teams

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree preferred
Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA is a plus
Agile or structured transformation experience a plus
