Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance standard cost systems, including bills of material, routings, labor, and overhead rates
Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights to operations and finance leadership
Support monthly close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing accruals
Prepare inventory reconciliations, reserves, and obsolescence analysis
Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to improve cost visibility, efficiency, and profitability
Support annual standard cost roll and periodic re-costing initiatives
Assist with budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs and capital expenditures
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls related to cost accounting and inventory
Support internal and external audits, including documentation and walkthroughs
Participate in ERP system enhancements and continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis tools a plus
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Preferred
5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device, aerospace, precision manufacturing, or similar preferred)
