Energy Engineer III

CLEAResult is leading the transition to a sustainable energy-efficient future. The Energy Engineer III will support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs through engineering calculations, building energy simulations, and project oversight.

Responsibilities

Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics
Key responsibilities of ‘Energy Engineer II’ and
Lead important and complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision. Examples include
Identify, lead, and qualify custom/M&V projects in our programs (beyond deemed savings)
Oversee the development of calculators and measure configurations within central database
Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities; author IPMVP compliant plans and reports
Established and trusted technical advisor to multiple large-scale programs
Provide technical guidance and training to our program teams related to subject matter expertise (esp. custom/M&V projects)
Subject matter expert in at least two significant technical areas
Author work papers for new energy efficiency measures, with technical oversight
Oversee technical feedback related to filings, utility commission documents, and program evaluations; provide formal recommendations to program staff
Develop project scopes, with oversight from engineering management
Work with clients and evaluators on project-specific issues

Required

5-10+ years experience
BS Engineering degree
