Responsibilities

Perform calibrations, non-destructive tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record the results
Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable FAA codes, standards, and specifications
Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Must be fully engaged to support all company initiatives to achieve the highest standard of work
Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions
Clean equipment within the department in order to prevent unnecessary maintenance and to display a safe and clean work environment
Take extreme care when handling parts within the facility and while working around them
Must be a self-starter and able to work with little to no guidance
Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to multi-task

Qualification

NDT Level II certificationFAA Airframe & Powerplant CertificationAviation industry experienceDocument interpretationEnglish fluency

Required

High school education required
Valid driver's license
Minimum of 3 years in the aviation industry
Criminal background check & compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks mandatory
Ability to speak, read and write English fluently
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and procedures in manuals
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Must be Level II certified
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to see color
