Responsibilities
Lead the design of end-to-end data and analytics products using Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Data Lake (bronze/silver/gold zones), and related cloud technologies
Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards for architecture, governance, and security
Serve as a senior point of escalation for complex integrations, ensuring technical feasibility, prioritization, and quality
Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to define requirements, success metrics, and long-term data strategies
Lead workshops to align technical designs with organizational priorities and demonstrate platform value to leadership teams
Advocate for platform adoption and modern data practices across the enterprise
Drive adherence to data management principles including master data, metadata, and lineage standards
Work closely with governance teams to monitor compliance with internal and regulatory frameworks
Mentor and foster continuous improvement in solution design, documentation, and collaboration practices across the team
Champion innovation by integrating emerging tools, frameworks, and approaches into the data product lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering within complex or data-rich environments, ideally in energy, utilities, or large-scale industrial sectors
Proven success influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across cross-functional teams
Strong proficiency in Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Python, and SQL
Solid understanding of IoT data ingestion, SCADA systems
Preferred
Familiarity with Spark / Kafka
Working knowledge of compliance standards relevant to critical infrastructure operations (e.g., NERC CIP, SOC 2)
