Responsibilities

Serve as the principal administrator for internally developed enterprise applications, including EDMS, electronic logbooks, and operator shift handover (DH) systems
Lead application development, enhancement, and long-term support across the full SDLC
Own project planning, execution, and delivery for multiple concurrent initiatives
Act as a technical liaison between business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors
Ensure applications remain secure, stable, and within vendor-supported lifecycles
Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and performance optimization
Support all phases of the SDLC for enterprise applications, with a primary focus on custom-built document management, logbook, and shift handover solutions
Monitor application usage, performance, and reliability; identify and resolve defects, bugs, and performance issues
Apply security updates, patches, and enhancements to ensure compliance and system integrity
Plan and execute application upgrades to remain within vendor support windows
Evaluate, interpret, and support highly complex functional specifications for custom development
Provide ongoing technical and functional consulting to business partners
Plan, control, and manage application and systems projects to meet agreed business requirements, timelines, cost, and quality standards
Develop detailed project plans, milestones, and work breakdown structures; assign and manage resources accordingly
Manage full project lifecycles including scope, initiation, design, build, testing, deployment, and transition to support
Coordinate project documentation, stakeholder sign-offs, and alignment on costs and resources
Conduct regular status meetings and informal check-ins to track progress and manage deliverables
Facilitate lessons-learned sessions to validate outcomes and identify improvement opportunities
Establish and maintain strong relationships with business sponsors and owners to ensure satisfaction and alignment
Lead requirements gathering through structured work sessions with business and IT stakeholders
Oversee development of business requirements, functional specifications, and supporting documentation
Analyze current-state processes to identify system impacts, risks, and improvement opportunities
Communicate project risks, conflicts, and milestone challenges to leadership with recommended mitigation strategies
Support and manage SQL-based database environments including SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Postgres, or similar platforms
Develop, review, and troubleshoot solutions using .NET, C#, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Python, or related technologies
Support integration of enterprise applications and coordination with third-party vendors
Apply expert-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
8+ years of experience delivering and supporting enterprise application solutions
Strong working knowledge of SLCP and SDLC methodologies
Proven experience managing complex application-focused projects end-to-end
Proficiency with SQL-based database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Postgres, etc.)
Hands-on experience with modern programming languages including .NET, C#, JavaScript, Visual Basic, and/or Python
Experience integrating enterprise applications and working with third-party solution providers
Strong systems analysis, application design, and performance optimization skills
Excellent project management capabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and MS Project
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

PMP or equivalent certification is a plus
