Electrical Engineering Assistant or Associate Professor

Responsibilities

Engage with traditional and non-traditional students, supporting their educational growth, leading to their graduation and productive future careers
Teach both standard courses and specialty courses at the undergraduate and graduate level with the opportunity to develop new courses related to your research area
Develop new self-directed externally funded research projects, engaging students and forming collaborations in your joint research appointment with ACEP and other faculty and researchers at UAF

Required

BS degree in electrical engineering
MS degree in electrical engineering with applications in electric power engineering
PhD in electrical engineering, electric power engineering, renewable energy engineering, or a closely related field
Strong background in engineering, specializing in electric power and energy systems
Exceptional research record, demonstrated by high-quality publications
Proven experience in university-level teaching
Passion for student engagement
Ability to lead innovative research projects
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Enjoy interacting with a diverse student body
Self-directed and have excellent time management skills

Preferred

Experience in electric power systems and the integration of renewable and energy storage technologies at all power levels from remote isolated grids to bulk power systems
