Responsibilities

Lead the strategic design and technical implementation of secure network and cloud infrastructures

Manage a team of engineers to mitigate enterprise risk through NIST-aligned assessments and executive-level advocacy

Required

Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, building, testing, and implementing enterprise-level security systems within an organization's IT network infrastructure

At least 5 years of experience successfully managing and mentoring a team of Security Engineers

Extensive hands-on experience and architectural knowledge of Network Security: Wireless Networks, Firewalls, and IDS/IPS

Extensive hands-on experience and architectural knowledge of Infrastructure: LAN/WAN architectures

Extensive hands-on experience and architectural knowledge of Security Operations: SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) implementation

Extensive hands-on experience and architectural knowledge of Modern Infrastructure: Cloud integration strategies and hybrid environment security

Proven track record of applying risk management techniques to perform comprehensive risk assessments

Must demonstrate proficiency in NIST standards to ensure system designs sufficiently mitigate Information Assurance (IA) risks

Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel, ranging from technical staff to senior management

Strong capacity to explain complex security concepts and enforce security measures necessary to protect agency assets

Excellent training, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is required

Preferred

CISSP-ISSAP (Information Systems Security Architecture Professional) is highly preferred
