Actively pipeline accounts in the territory and work with leadership and managers to strategically grow appetite within the profile of the territory
Strategically focus engagement with partner agents that drive revenue from key accounts business
Support renewal underwriters serving the territory with renewal and service engagement when needed
Manage the claims and loss control service at the point of sale and managing the process for the first year (coordinating and setting the direction)
Engage with field representatives to build annual sales objectives with agents
Understand the agency planning process and impact of contingency/supplemental commission arrangements
Drive both top and bottom-line results within the territory
Qualification
Required
five years of property and casualty underwriting experience
excellent communication skills
ability to analyze risk and price appropriately
experience in handling all lines of large accounts
understanding of portfolio management and ability to balance growth and profit dynamics
self-starter with creative thinking and an ability to create opportunity
Preferred
bachelor's degree preferred, or 7+ years of relevant industry experience
Charted Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation or other designations preferred
