The Activities Coordinator will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, leading recreational activities tailored to their needs and ensuring their safety and engagement.

Responsibilities

Conduct group and individual recreational activities based on participants’ needs, abilities, and interests

Implement necessary precautions to ensure the care and safety of individuals served

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to design meaningful group activities that emphasize participant preferences

Provide instruction and guidance to staff on activity delivery methods and techniques, both daily and during staff meetings

Maintain and update curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure varied, age-appropriate activities are consistently offered

Participate in continuing education courses as required

Perform other related duties as assigned
