Responsibilities

Lead from the front by actively selling, prospecting, and closing high-value and strategic accounts
Be highly visible in market — walking the show floor with the team, meeting customers, and attending industry and competitive events
Set the standard for sales excellence through your own performance, discipline, and execution
Coach in real time: on calls, in meetings, and on the show floor
Define and execute short- and long-term sales strategies for live events, sponsorships, and digital products
Agree revenue targets, budgets, and growth plans with senior leadership
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including adjacent verticals, new geographies, and emerging customer segments
Support pricing and packaging strategies, including floorplan strategy, bundling, cross-sell, upsell, and value-based pricing
Build and maintain strategic partnerships across the blockchain, Web3, AI, and emerging technology ecosystem
Drive hands-on business development, particularly for enterprise and new logo acquisition
Lead sales campaigns end-to-end: targeting, pipeline management, deal execution, and reporting
Maintain a strong presence at industry and competitor events to expand reach and deepen market intelligence
Organize and lead quarterly customer forums or councils to gather insight and cocreate future solutions
Connect global opportunities to increase customer share of wallet where relevant
Lead and develop Sales Executives with a strong focus on performance, accountability, and growth
Assess team strengths and gaps and actively develop capability through coaching and mentorship
Implement sales best practices, performance initiatives, gamification, and competitive incentives
Build and sustain a high-energy, results-driven, customer-obsessed sales culture
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of new sales hires
Own sales forecasting, pipeline health, KPI reporting, and performance rhythm
Manage sales budgets and cost of sales, aligning effort with customer value and ROI
Maintain an open two-way dialogue with internal stakeholders, sharing customer insight, market feedback, and competitive dynamics
Champion digital and content products, coaching the team to articulate value and move beyond an event-only mindset
Leverage CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) to drive accountability, visibility, and execution discipline

Required

5+ years' experience in Conference and Tradeshow sales, alternatively within technology, blockchain, Web3, or adjacent innovation-led sectors
5+ years' experience leading sales teams while remaining personally active in selling
Proven track record of closing large, strategic accounts and contributing directly to revenue
Strong industry network and ability to build senior-level customer relationships
High energy, strong presence, and the ability to influence through action
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and coaching skills
Strong commercial judgement and emotional intelligence
Experience executing sales strategies, performance initiatives, and sales gamification
