Senior Investment Operations Analyst

LHH is supporting a multi‑strategy investment manager in the DC metro market that is seeking a Senior Investment Operations Analyst to help strengthen engagement with institutional investors and support an expanding platform. This role is central to shaping external communications, coordinating detailed investor processes, and ensuring that limited partners receive clear and compelling information.

Responsibilities

Develop narrative‑driven updates that highlight portfolio activity, investment themes, performance factors, and relevant strategic developments
Turn raw information and internal analysis into polished presentations, dashboards, and written summaries suitable for sophisticated investors
Keep all investor‑facing materials current, including brochures, track‑record summaries, team profiles, and strategy briefs, while maintaining consistent messaging
Oversee virtual data rooms by establishing structure, maintaining organized content, reviewing activity, and ensuring version accuracy
Build and maintain a knowledge base of standardized responses, data tables, and frequently requested diligence information
Serve as a responsive point of contact for investor inquiries, ensuring responses are accurate, timely, and supported by relevant internal stakeholders
Facilitate new‑investor onboarding, including subscription documentation and operational setup, in coordination with compliance requirements
Partner with internal teams to validate performance data, streamline reporting processes, and strengthen analytics workflows
Ensure all investor communications meet applicable compliance standards prior to distribution
Work cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and legal to support notices, capital activity updates, and document requests

Required

Bachelor's degree required
4–7+ years of experience in investor relations, fundraising support, client service, or product‑oriented roles within the asset management or alternatives sector
Strong writing and communication abilities, with a talent for explaining technical concepts clearly to institutional audiences
Comfort with performance analytics, portfolio metrics, Excel modeling, and data validation
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
High attention to detail with strong document‑preparation and data‑management skills
Organized, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable supporting both long‑term projects and daily investor needs

Preferred

advanced credentials such as CAIA, CPA, or an MBA are beneficial
exposure to alternative investment structures is advantageous
