Electrical Project Engineer
Vanderlande is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer I to support the North American Amazon RMR project Team. The role involves ensuring that electrical designs meet customer requirements and coordinating with other trades to minimize conflicts during installation.

Responsibilities
Develop code compliant electrical systems that meet the customer specifications
If necessary translate sales drawings and specifications into a fully functional mechanical system description which can be translated to an Request for Proposal (RfP) which can be used by Project Procurement
Optimize the system functionality from as-sold to a working electrical design within the budget in consultation with other disciplines (Mechanical, Controls, Supply Chain, Installation, etc.)
Perform system and component level calculations to size components and equipment for the application (conductor sizing, voltage drop, motor starters, overcurrent and short circuit protection, control panels, control networks, etc.)
Engineering of project specials needed for non-standard design applications
Apply safety regulations
Specify the electrical equipment required for the complete electrical system that operates and controls both Vanderlande manufactured, and third party purchased items
Use software tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Word, Excel, etc.) to develop electrical designs such as wiring diagrams, termination lists, Bill of Materials, etc
Document all engineering decisions through design plans, complete and clear installation files, and engineering instructions directed to a site supervisor and installation subcontractor
Travel to site as needed to conduct site surveys
Support the installation and commissioning both on site, and from the Marietta, GA office
Project document control using a rights-based database system
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Or Associate EE/ET with 8 years related experience
Must be willing and able to travel domestically up to 33% with occasional international opportunities
Ability to think conceptually (overall system) and translate this into a detailed system design
Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization where cooperating with others and being a team member is natural
Strong communicator, able to effectively understand and set expectations for deliverables
Able to handle time sensitive situations and quickly set the right priorities, while maintaining a firm grasp of the details

Expert knowledge of electrical engineering theories and principles
Advanced knowledge/experience with NFPA 70
Experience designing UL rated control cabinets, designing low voltage power distribution systems, experience working with and programming PLCs
Preferred
Advanced knowledge/experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Occupational Safety and Health Standards
Advanced knowledge/experience with NFPA 70E
Advanced knowledge/experience with NFPA 79
Advanced knowledge/experience with UL 508A
Basic knowledge/experience with ISO 13849-1
