System Administrator - Late Shift

Sigma Information Group, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator to support clients after business hours. This role involves monitoring system alerts, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing server maintenance while occasionally visiting client locations.

Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to system alerts, tickets, and client calls
Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 technical issues, escalating when needed
Perform server patching, updates, backups, and AD audits
Support Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Exchange, Intune, SharePoint/Teams, and related technologies
Assist with networking tasks (VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, DNS, SSL certs)
Contribute to company initiatives and side projects during shifts

Required

Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of IT experience
Minimum 1 year as a network/system administrator, IT manager, or IT consultant
Prior experience handling multiple customers at an IT consultancy or MSP a big plus
Knowledge of common business operating systems and applications, including Windows, Windows Server, and Office
Solid understanding of network technology and related concepts, such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SMTP, etc
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interface professionally with customer executives and employees
Ability to see problems through to resolution and communicate progress and results to customers
Solid experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange, and server management
Working knowledge of networking, security, and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware)
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills
Ability to work independently in an evening schedule
