Responsibilities

Develop new processes, improve existing manufacturing processes, and develop the required tooling and fixtures with an excellent team of experienced assembly mechanics, machinists, welders and engineers
Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the manufacturing environment
Develop efficient process flows and sequences of operations, optimized production area layouts, manage bills of materials, and create detailed work instructions, process procedures and tooling requirements with emphasis on safety, foreign object elimination and equipment/system maintenance
Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of new capital equipment for establishing expanded production processes
Select roles will also support final acceptance testing of product and provide technical support to test facility operation as necessary
The ability to support multiple production shifts is required (first, second, third shifts, and weekends) based on the assignment and current and future production schedules

Required

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; OR a master's degree with 1 or more years of relevant work experience
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience with machining and machine shops
Experience with mechanical assembly processes, welding and machining
Experience in technical writing
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR a master's degree with 3 or more years of relevant work experience
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience with machining and machine shops
Experience with mechanical assembly processes, welding and machining
Experience in technical writing
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred

Hands on experience machining and troubleshooting of machines
Experience measuring and analyzing precision parts
Experience programming CNC lathes, mills and/or grinders
Experience with selecting and managing Capital Equipment (CapEX) projects for machinery
