Responsibilities

Perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career

Complete a variety of scientific tasks

Perform field investigations

Write reports

Work with other environmental professionals

Travel with other professionals to job sites, in remote locations, for observation activities and fieldwork

Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrain types

Drive a pickup truck on minimum maintenance roads

Participate in overnight travel based on project location

Qualification

Required

Strong communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology, environmental studies, or a similar field of study

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Interest in being outdoors

Ability to perform research and write technical reports

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Ability to drive a pickup truck

Valid driver's license with good driving history

Preferred

Bird and plant identification experience is a plus
