Responsibilities
Assist with the care of each child who is part of our program
Assist with homework help and encourage engaging play for those without homework
Assist with snacks, clean up of the same, instructing children to clean up their own space
Share creative ideas with staff for excellence in program and beneficial to children
Clean up program area as assigned, including after each project and teaching children to do the same
Report concerns and/or medical incidents to supervisor on staff immediately
Help children to grow and learn while having fun
Support and affirm the Mission of The Salvation Army while on Salvation Army duty
Other job related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 16 years of age
Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
Preferred
Previous experience working with children helpful
Patient and understanding attitude working with children from various background
