Discovery Land Company is a U.S.-based real estate developer and operator of private residential club communities and resorts. They are seeking an Irrigation Technician to ensure effective irrigation system operations, maintain irrigation equipment, and oversee the implementation of irrigation systems for the golf course.

Responsibilities

Ensure effective irrigation system operations and schedule of operations, maintenance, and additional construction needed

Responsible for maintaining the irrigation equipment for the golf course, which includes sprinklers, water lines, pumps, suction devices, valves and other plumbing equipment

Oversees the implementation of the irrigation systems, including mechanical and electrical systems

Maintaining all irrigation systems by monitoring and evaluating overall performance of the irrigation system

Repairs sprinklers and pipes on the golf course, when needed, while regularly checking the conditions of the equipment, and keeping them clean and adjusted for the course

Able to work without supervision on a range of irrigation maintenance on a day to day basis

Maintains inventory of parts needed and associated with the irrigation system and orders new parts when needed

Any other duties as assigned

Required

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience

Experience in golf course irrigation installation and repair

Experience in operating golf course irrigation equipment

Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members

Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
