Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Sew, layout, and cut synthetic fabrics

Cut material to proper pattern size

Position cloth under needles using match marks on fabric to guide material. Fold or stretch edges or lengths of items while sewing to facilitate forming specified sections

Check swatches for proper alignment

Match mediums (fabrics, materials, etc.). Verify that medium and pattern correspond to job ticket

Trim excess material; cut loose ends for a clean finish

Perform final inspection and quality checks

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Double needle sewing machinesLayoutCutting clothReading cut sheetsBasic math skillsSelf-motivated

Required

Operate double needle sewing machines

Possess basic math skills (such as fractions) and be able to use rulers

Have experience in layout and cutting cloth to cut sheet requirements

Be able to read and follow cut sheets (blueprints)

Be able to lift heavy bolts of fabric and pack cut material for shipping

Be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision
