Freelance Copywriter
Responsibilities
Write crisp, compelling copy across short-form and long-form formats, including:
Blog posts and content marketing
Landing pages
Paid social and display ads
Email campaigns and promotional website copy
Develop strong headlines and messaging that align with fintech products and user needs
Collaborate closely with design, product, and marketing partners in active working sessions
Participate in meetings, reviews, and brainstorms — contributing ideas, not just executing tasks
Manage feedback from multiple stakeholders and confidently defend copy decisions
Proactively identify opportunities, raise ideas, and take ownership of assigned workstreams
Support high-volume initiatives tied to product launches, seasonal campaigns, and major moments (e.g., Black Friday, New Year)
Qualification
Required
2+ years of professional copywriting experience in a collaborative environment (agency or in-house)
Strong portfolio required, including headline samples
Experience writing for fintech or financial products
Ability to write both long-form and short-form copy across multiple channels
Comfortable receiving feedback, iterating quickly, and working with cross-functional teams
Availability to work 25–40 hours/week, with flexibility as workload fluctuates
Legally authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship available)
Preferred
Have experience in B2B or B2C fintech environments
Have supported product launches or high-traffic marketing moments
Can clearly articulate which portfolio work you personally owned vs. team-led efforts
Bring a proactive mindset — raising your hand when you see opportunities instead of waiting for assignments
Are equally strong in content marketing and performance-driven advertising copy
