Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the preconstruction manager, project managers, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other project services staff to plan and optimize the project schedule from conceptual planning through engineering and construction
Ensure that short-term and long-term project objectives are achieved. Create and manage schedule logic, constraints, realistic activity durations, and resource availability. Evaluate the effects of design changes and schedule delays
Communicate all schedule updates to company management and clients
Evaluate the effects of design changes and schedule delays, identify risks and communicate to company management and clients. Identify critical path(s) and recommend ways to de-risk and improve the project schedule
Engage in challenging discussions with the entire project team, including the Owner, General Contractor, AE, Subcontractors, and Suppliers. Interact with clients, attend regular meetings and present statistical reports
Track project progress through metrics and reporting, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing requirements or challenges
Integrate detailed schedule fragments and make necessary sequencing adjustments as required
Identify ways to optimize processes and improve project outcomes through innovative technologies or methodologies
Qualification
Required
Ten (10) + of related construction project field control and scheduling experience
Experience scheduling $50M+ projects in sectors like general construction, electrical construction, manufacturing construction, technology or infrastructure (utilities, communication, buildings or energy industries)
Proficiency in gathering, maintaining, reporting, and analyzing schedule data
Mastery of scheduling methodology, risk analysis, and earned value management
Advanced-level scheduling software expertise: Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam
Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Very strong focus, time management, and communication skills
A strong ability to handle administrative tasks, including preparing progress reports and arranging meetings
Strong ability to develop and maintain project plans, identify schedule risks and communicate those risks to others
A valid US driver's license and permission to live and work in the USA; willingness and ability to travel
Preferred
A bachelor's or associate's degree in business, management, construction management, civil or industrial engineering, project management, or related field
PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE PSP certification
Deep knowledge of, and experience with Earned Value Management systems, and construction / industrial workflows (RFIs, submittals, procurement, commissioning)
Mission-critical hyper-scale data center project experience
