Responsibilities
Provide Operation & Support (O&S) Legacy Cost Model Support and Independent Cost Estimates at Air Force Cost Analysis Agency (AFCAA), Joint Base Andrews, Maryland
Develop and support Operation & Support (O&S) cost estimates for DAF aircraft programs under senior oversight; populate and maintain Excel-based legacy cost models using government-furnished templates; collect, normalize, and analyze cost data from AFTOC and other authoritative sources; apply approved cost methodologies, escalation, and inflation; support Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs), NACAs, and SCPs through analysis, documentation, and reconciliation; respond to AFCAA and Program Office data requests and support briefings as required
Qualification
Required
3+ years progressive cost analysis experience
minimum 2 years supporting DAF or DoD cost estimating efforts
experience applying AFI 65-508 cost analysis principles in a government environment
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Finance, or related field
current SECRET clearance required
Technical knowledge of aircraft sustainment both past and current platforms
Working knowledge of logistics associated with aircraft systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel techniques
at least 2 years concentrated experience doing cost estimating for DAF or DOW programs
understand drivers and patterns in O&S cost estimates
completed at least one O&S cost estimate with oversight
knowledge of the correct application of inflation and price escalation
demonstrated experience using the AFTOC database and be able to pull and understand how to use the data without AFCAA assistance
