Responsibilities
Run hands-on payroll processing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
Administer employee benefits including enrollments, changes, audits, and system integrations
Maintain and monitor state payroll tax accounts (including unemployment and withholding) and resolve discrepancies
Own HRIS data integrity, integrations, audits, and recurring reporting
Review monthly invoices tied to payroll and benefits and reconcile with Finance
Act as the go-to resource for employee payroll and benefits questions
Support compliance initiatives related to payroll, labor laws, and internal audits
Identify process gaps, troubleshoot system issues, and update SOPs as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS
Strong working knowledge of payroll tax, wage/hour, and employment compliance
High attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies quickly
Comfort working in a smaller or evolving environment with hands-on ownership
Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
