Responsibilities
Designing complete process systems for manufacturing applications, from initial concept through startup
Creating process flow diagrams and detailed P&IDs that drive real-world system design
Performing core chemical engineering calculations including heat and mass transfer, pressure drop, flow analysis, and energy balances
Sizing and specifying process equipment, utilities, and supporting systems
Developing equipment layouts, schematics, and installation documentation
Supporting equipment procurement by preparing RFQs and evaluating vendor proposals
Analyzing system timing, throughput, and utility consumption to optimize performance
Collaborating closely with controls engineers, mechanical designers, and project teams to bring systems online
Participating in commissioning and startup activities, including on-site customer support
Supporting customers throughout the lifecycle of the system, both remotely and on-site
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
Five or more years of experience in chemical or process engineering
Strong foundation in core chemical engineering principles including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat and mass transfer
Experience developing PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations
Comfort working in manufacturing or process-driven environments
AutoCAD experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and internal teams
