Responsibilities
Performing visual and physical checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify any defects or non-conformances
Utilizing various testing equipment to measure key product parameters like dimensions, weight, chemical composition, and functionality, ensuring they fall within specified tolerances
Recording inspection results, analyzing data trends using statistical process control (SPC) methods, and identifying potential quality issues
Regularly checking and calibrating measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability
Maintaining detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and non-conformance reports, communicating issues to relevant personnel
Following established quality standards and work instructions to ensure consistency in quality checks
Qualification
Required
Has a high school diploma or equivalent qualification
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
Technical proficiency with relevant testing equipment and methodologies
Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends
Excellent documentation and reporting abilities
Knowledge of quality management systems like ISO standards
Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC)
Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different departments
Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing
Able to move up to 50lbs
Can wear PPE
Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes
Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs
