They are seeking a Technical Project Manager to establish and build out their Project Management Office (PMO) infrastructure, focusing on evaluating project management platforms and integrating them into a cohesive ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Conduct a rapid assessment of the current PM software landscape (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, Planview, Monday.com, and niche biotech tools)
Design a multi-platform approach, selecting the right tool for each function—for example, one platform for Gantt/Timeline management, another for Resource Planning, and a third for Data Visualization
Architect the connections between these tools (using APIs, connectors, or automation scripts) so data flows seamlessly into a central source of truth without manual double-entry
Translate existing "As-Is" and "To-Be" process maps into the selected software platforms
Lead the migration from Excel-based trackers into structured databases, ensuring data hygiene and link integrity
Develop scripts or AI workflows to auto-generate monthly reporting packs
Execute the end-of-month reporting process, ensuring leadership receives accurate Gantt charts and Resource Plans on time
Implement AI tools to analyze project data and assess risk factors (e.g., enrollment curves, site performance) rather than simply reporting static updates
Maintain a rigorous Change Log. Monitor inputs from the team and ensure every date change or timeline shift is documented and justified
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience administering and configuring multiple project management platforms
Ability to articulate the strengths and limitations of tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, and Jira within a biotech context
Technical ability to connect disparate systems (experience with APIs, Power Automate, Zapier, or similar middleware is highly preferred)
Proven experience establishing a PMO function, including transitioning organizations from manual tracking to mature, systems-based environments
Understanding of the drug development lifecycle (Pre-clinical Tox, CMC, Clinical) to ensure the selected tools align with departmental workflows
Experience using AI for data analysis and reporting, with a strong understanding of how to structure data for scalability
