Material Expeditor (Production)

Responsibilities

Distribute materials to production and assembly areas, ensuring correct parts and quantities are available to meet production needs
Store incoming material by organizing and creating proper storage locations. May require the use of forklifts and pallet jacks
Utilize SAP/ERP systems to locate and issue required components to production orders
Receive and close incoming production orders. Packages, prepares, and delivers orders to next destination
Process material transactions, including stock transfers, order releases, and inventory adjustments
Occasionally operate band saw to assist in cutting raw stock
Create shippers and deliver materials to shipping department for outside processing
Create production kits with required parts and instructions for next level assemblies
Maintain responsibility for and accountability for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED
1-2 years' experience working with Inventory, Stocking/ Re-Stocking, or Material Handling
Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and SAP or similar ERP systems
Collaborates effectively across various departments to achieve shared goals while delivering excellent customer support
Demonstrates attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to effectively prioritize and organize work
Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)
U.S. citizenship is required
Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed

Preferred

Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing or inventory management
