Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and support Oracle database environments (11g through 19c and beyond)

Manage high availability setups using Oracle RAC and disaster recovery using DataGuard

Perform regular database upgrades, patches, and system maintenance

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to availability and latency

Optimize and tune databases for performance and efficiency

Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and archival strategies

Automate routine DBA tasks to increase efficiency and reliability

Ensure database security, compliance, and data integrity

Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams for database-related support and deployment

Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call support schedule for production systems

Maintain thorough documentation of architecture, processes, and procedures
