Atkore is a leading provider of electrical, safety, and infrastructure solutions. They are seeking an Electronic Technician II to maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment in the tube manufacturing operation, as well as train and mentor other technicians.

Responsibilities

Implement solutions to decrease production downtime, through equipment enhancement projects and preventive maintenance procedures

Train and mentor electronic technicians with an emphasis on teamwork, continuous improvement and accomplishment of safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals

Maintaining and troubleshoot problems with the electrical equipment, wiring and resources in the tube manufacturing operation

Work with maintenance and production personnel in analyzing and troubleshooting equipment failures

Assist with equipment installation

Provide procedural improvements

All other duties assigned by your supervisor

Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities and promotes the plant Lean culture

Required

At least a bachelor's degree or expert certification in an electrical field

5+ years of electronic troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment

Ability to troubleshoot and repair down to component level

Knowledge in 3-phase power systems, AC/DC drives, PLC/HMI programming

Preferred

Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company

Tube mill or steel industry experience strongly preferred

Knowledge in induction heating and welding equipment, flying cut-offs, Servo Drive Systems, automated packaging systems and/or robotics encouraged to apply

Knowledge of A/B and Siemens PLC's are welcomed to apply
