Responsibilities
Strong experience with rules 401 and 410 is necessary
Assist attorneys in all phases of family law litigation, including divorce, child custody, property settlements and marital agreements
Prepare and revise pleadings and other documents filed with the court
Follow through with filing process, including manual filings and any e-filing process the court may require
Conduct legal research, maintain attorney calendars, and manage court deadlines
Liaison between the client and the attorneys
Draft legal forms and pleadings
Arrange court filings and process serves
Financial Statement experience and Child Support guideline experience
Support multiple attorneys in a family law practice
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree as well as paralegal certificate
5+ years of family law or litigation experience
Experience with high-asset cases
Familiarity with the local rules and courts in Massachusetts
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Must be highly organized and able to manage time extremely well
Ability to conduct multiple tasks and meet and exceed deadlines
