Compliance and Packaging Analyst

They are seeking a Compliance and Packaging Analyst to oversee packaging compliance, collaborate with designers, and ensure that all packaging meets customer guidelines and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
Facilitate the introduction of new packaging so that all compliance issues are addressed
Periodically audit and verify current packaging to assure ongoing compliance
Develop, improve, update standard packaging dimensions for the Consumer Division, ensuring standard cartons meet the various customer standards for compliance
Actively participate in the Consumer Products Business team and the Compliance Working Group
Work with other compliance team members to plan, coordinate and execute the corporate compliance strategy to include audit planning and preparation
Will be essential in forming the overall pre-audit process, developing a proactive approach corporate wide
Learn/Master the various SAP processes and transactions that directly impact the compliance process
Have a detailed understanding of our retail customers’ routing, shipping and packaging instructions- manage Carpenter library of routing guides including tracking updates and changes to guides and communicating those changes to the proper channels- i.e. sales and ops
Work with credit to track and respond to chargebacks related to non-compliance
Work with manufacturing plants to make sure they are up to date on all routing, packaging and logistic processes
Collaborate with wholesale partners to ensure all Carpenter packaging meets retailer requirements
Design and manage packaging specifications, review law tags for compliance
Work with packaging engineer to Run all packaging tests (shake, drop, etc.) as needed and confirm compliance with customer requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Risk or other related field
3+ years of compliance or audit experience within a manufacturing or retail organization
Experience with retail routing procedures
Thorough understanding of production, manufacturing, product integrity & production cycle timelines
SAP or similar ERP experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in an innovative, fast-paced and highly collaborative team-oriented environment
Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred
Understanding of packaging design and standards
