Responsibilities

Develops, coordinates, and directs important projects or field engineering assignments with complex features
Performs assigned (or initiates) engineering studies, proposing solutions to engineering-related problems; develops models and analyzes data to support improvement programs, techniques & solutions
Interfaces with outside departments, vendors, suppliers, and reliability entities
Develops or assists in presentations of engineering-related projects to all levels of management & external parties (contractors, customers, etc.)
Plans and manages group workflow to meet budgets and schedules
May mentor and provide guidance/direction for less experienced staff

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and a minimum of 4 years of job relevant experience

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Proven experience developing and reviewing engineering specifications for BESS equipment and systems, including batteries, PCS/inverters, battery management systems, MV/LV equipment, and interfaces with substations and interconnection facilities
Strong working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and compliance requirements, including UL, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, NEC, NERC, and utility interconnection standards related to battery technology, power electronics, and grid-connected energy storage systems
Experience reviewing, approving, and responding to EPC design deliverables, including drawings, calculations, technical submittals, and RFIs, ensuring compliance with project specifications throughout detailed design and construction
Involvement in performance testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities, including factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning procedures, and performance validation
Experience performing root-cause analysis on PCS-related events, equipment failures, or protection misoperations
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Master's Degree in Engineering or job relevant discipline
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel and Word
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
