Maintenance Program Manager

Responsibilities
The Maintenance Program Manager works within the Facilities Management department to provide technical expertise, contractual oversight, and program management for a wide array of areas supporting facilities maintenance and utility operations
The role involves managing and optimizing preventive and/or predictive maintenance programs, tracking and planning deferred maintenance initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety objectives and regulatory requirements
Responsibilities include developing scopes of work, overseeing service contracts and managing outside vendors to streamline service delivery across building categories including (but not limited to) roofing, fire suppression systems, elevators, HVAC, and pest control
This position will support development of facility and utility operations-related procedures and best practices, including providing technical recommendations for UAF design standards, facilitating construction drawing reviews, and coordinating walk-throughs with project managers and maintenance staff during project turnover
The position will also coordinate closely with the CMMS administrator and directors to optimize the department’s preventive maintenance program and utilization of the CMMS system
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least four years experience in facilities maintenance, facility operations, utilities or facility services procurement
Preferred
Experience in higher education facility operations, maintenance, or utilities
Experience in vendor and contract management
Familiarity with FAMIS, UA's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Familiarity with Workday
