Estate Planning & Estate Administration Attorney - Jr Partner
Long Hagan Huff-Harris is a respected, award winning boutique law firm serving clients across Greater Boston and the South Shore. They are seeking an Estate Planning & Estate Administration Junior Partner to lead a team, interface with clients, and manage complex legal matters within the Trusts and Estates practice.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary interface with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other external parties on estate planning and estate administration matters
Act as Responsible Attorney for the majority of matters in the division, overseeing strategy and day-to-day decision-making with guidance from the Department Head
Handle complex legal work and serve as a problem solver when associates or paralegals encounter obstacles
Lead, manage, and hold accountable a team of associates and paralegals, including delegating work and overseeing workflow and deadlines
Review work product, conduct trainings, and provide feedback to ensure firm quality standards are met
Review and submit billing for the division, monitor accounts receivable, and address billing or collection issues as needed
Participate in business development, including maintaining referral relationships and participating in at least one close networking group
Work with the firm’s Marketing & Business Development team to help bring new matters into the firm
Participate in continuing legal education and training to stay current on developments in the law and assigned practice areas
Record and bill approximately one thousand one hundred thirty (1,130) hours per year, which is an average of five (5) hours per day over two hundred twenty-six (226) working days
Qualification
Required
Licensed & Experienced Massachusetts Attorney - Must be in good standing and eligible to practice law in Massachusetts, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Trusts and Estates preferred
Strong Attention to Detail - Ability to manage estate planning and estate administration matters with care, accuracy, and consistency
Leadership and Accountability - Ability to lead and manage a small team, delegate effectively, follow up, and hold team members accountable while improving day-to-day processes
Client-Facing Communication Skills - Comfortable communicating directly and regularly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other professionals in a clear, professional, and empathetic manner
Practical Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to analyze legal, financial, and procedural issues and make sound decisions that serve both the client and the firm
Billing and Financial Awareness - Ability to review bills, monitor accounts receivable, and exercise good judgment when balancing client value with firm expectations
Business Development Willingness - Willingness to participate in networking, referral relationships, and firm marketing efforts to help grow the practice
Commitment to Growth - Interest in continuing legal education, improving skills, and developing as both an attorney and a leader within the firm
