Start in 2026 SummerAon is inviting ambitious college rising seniors to join their 2026 Summer Internship Program in the Aon Affinity U.S. Underwriting group. The internship provides an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in underwriting analysis, risk selection, and pricing while working closely with industry leaders and developing essential skills for a successful career in insurance.

Responsibilities
Be exposed to and learn the essentials of insurance (risk, perils, hazards, risk transfer, and management, etc.) from an underwriting mentor
Benefit from specific product training sessions
In-person or virtual client interactions
Generate a risk analysis of an existing Affinity client or a prospective client
Prepare provisional quotes for review and approval by your underwriting mentor
Compare and contrast policy forms and prepare coverage summaries
Evaluate available data and create benchmarking reports
Work closely within an assigned Affinity business unit, attend team meetings, learn client relationship management, and develop underwriting skills
Learn sales and negotiation techniques
Attend claims review meetings and become familiar with the loss management process
Participate in strategy sessions with Affinity marketing department as promotional campaigns are developed and implemented
Work with fellow Affinity Interns on special group projects
Qualification
Required
Rising seniors graduating between December 2026 - June 2027
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Analytical thinking and problem solving
Ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intellectual curiosity
Adaptability
Demonstrated leadership or initiative at school, work, and/or community
