ACORE Policy Intern 2026
American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that promotes investment in American clean energy infrastructure, development, and innovation. ACORE is seeking a Policy Intern to help advance clean energy through education, collaboration, and supportive finance. The ideal candidate will conduct research, track legislation, and assist with drafting various documents related to clean energy policy.

Responsibilities
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a variety of topics, potentially including clean energy project finance, energy project permitting, and the impacts of electricity demand growth
Track and analyze legislation that affects clean energy investment and development
Assist with the drafting of reports, blog posts, fact sheets, and other documents, as necessary
Attend ACORE conferences and webinars as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
At least three days a week of internship availability, with a strong preference for in-person
Demonstrated interest in clean energy
Strong research, writing, and editing skills
An ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership over projects and assignments
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working as part of a team
