They are seeking a talented Interior Design Associate to assist in all phases of design, from concept to installation, while contributing creatively in a collaborative boutique studio environment.

Responsibilities

Assist Interior Design Director in all phases of design, including conceptual, development, purchasing, project management, and installation

Produce furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD

Assist in the research of sourcing materials, finishes, and furnishings, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines

Prepare proposals, spec sheets, purchase orders, and statements for client approved materials, furniture, fixtures and accessories in Studio Designer

Document all project specifications in Studio Designer

Prepare and maintain project schedules and budgets

Prepare and continually update Project Design Decks as the design progresses

Prepare for and attend meetings with clients and consultants, record decisions and issue meeting minutes

Assist in the coordination of samples for client meetings, including trips to the D&D Building, NYDC, and various vendor showrooms for physical sample pickups

Keep track of ordered samples, tracking information, and delivery dates

Collaborate with suppliers and contractors as required – serve as a point of contact between YHA and vendors to ensure smooth project execution

Follow up on emails as needed

Assist in site visits to oversee project progress and take measurements as needed

Act as on-site contact and supervise vendors during deliveries and installation while assisting in their placement and installation

Assist with reconciliation of bank and credit card statements

Responsible for organizing and labelling all samples in YHA Library

Add written pricing on the back of samples when available

Assist in general office tasks like event planning and coordination, gifting planning and coordination, etc
