Sr Product Engineer BESS

Responsibilities
Lead the technical design of utility-scale and C&I (Commercial & Industrial) battery storage projects for data centers. This includes selecting battery chemistry, power conversion systems (PCS), and thermal management strategies
Review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Three-Line Diagrams, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings, analysis from vendors, and create technical specifications for products Vendor Management: Interface with global BESS and related integrators to evaluate technical bids, perform due diligence on hardware, and manage FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
Perform performance modelling and degradation analysis to ensure the long-term bankability and health of the battery assets
Provide engineering support during the construction and commissioning phases, troubleshooting field issues and ensuring "as-built" accuracy to internal and external teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
6+ years of professional experience specifically within the Energy Storage (BESS) or Renewable Energy sectors
Strong understanding of DC/AC power systems and high-voltage (HV) substation design
Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS) logic
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) and power system modelling tools
Expertise in industry standards such as UL9540/9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 68, NFPA 69 and IEEE 1547
