Responsibilities

Evaluate technologies and network designs to support critical infrastructure and customer needs

Implement networking solutions aligned with client goals and objectives

Participate in cross-program discussions to resolve technical challenges

Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials for engineering and NOC teams

Maintain network systems to ensure high operational performance

Define and apply best practices for capacity management and optimization

Identify automation opportunities to improve network efficiency

Conduct proofs of concept, service trials, and document system integrations

Travel as needed for requirements meetings and system planning

Required

Bachelor's degree in Networking, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related technical discipline

8+ years of experience in network engineering with IP networks

6+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing IP and MPLS network architectures

Proven experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting IP network infrastructure

Expertise in network protocols such as PIM, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VPLS, VRFs, L3VPN, and Ethernet

Experience in architecting LAN, WAN, and intranet for large distributed systems

Strong background with Cisco ASR, ISR, and Nexus series routers and switches

Experience configuring MPLS, QoS, VPLS, BGP route policies, and Cisco XR/XE code

Experience with GetVPN, Carrier Ethernet, and SDN technologies

Experience peering with Tier 1 ISPs and troubleshooting internet routing

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Visio

Ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance
