Responsibilities
Review and analyze internal and external quality performance for whole goods, upstream production, plant quality, and/or supplier quality; communicate trends and findings to manufacturing leadership
Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and problem-solving activities for assigned issues; help implement solutions to reduce quality issues and defects
Assist in executing and auditing control plans and manufacturing processes for compliance and effectiveness; partner with manufacturing engineering to implement mistake-proofing and process improvements
Collaborate with suppliers to problem-solve and verify quality improvements
Participate in process capability studies and continuous improvement activities with process engineering, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods such as Process Capability Index (CPK) and control charts using statistical software such as Minitab (or similar)
Support critical Quality Management System (QMS) processes and participate in quality improvement projects and teams
Qualification
Required
High School diploma required
Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Awareness of quality tools and techniques, such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Core Tools, SPC methods, and CPK, with exposure to statistical software such as Minitab (or similar)
Awareness of lean manufacturing principles and using Lean Sigma/Six Sigma methodology to improve quality, including Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC)
Ability to work in a team environment, operate assembly and measurement tools and devices, and read prints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Preferred
Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis; exposure to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Eight Disciplines (8D) problem solving
