Responsibilities
Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, packaging, and finished goods
Ensure purchase orders are accurate, complete, and aligned with demand plans and inventory targets
Track open POs from placement through delivery; proactively identify and resolve risks, delays, or discrepancies
Maintain procurement trackers, lead times, pricing, and vendor performance metrics
Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for suppliers and manufacturing partners
Communicate order timelines, quantities, changes, and confirmations clearly and consistently
Follow up on production status, ship dates, and documentation requirements
Escalate supply issues and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive resolution
Coordinate inbound shipments with suppliers, carriers, and 3PL partners
Monitor shipment schedules, delivery windows, and receiving status
Support inventory accuracy by reconciling POs, receipts, and variances
Assist with inventory availability tracking for replenishment and new product launches
Provide regular procurement and supply status updates to operations, demand planning, customer service, and marketing teams
Support new product launches by coordinating purchase orders, materials readiness, and inbound timing
Create and maintain SOPs, documentation, and process improvements to support scale
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors and timelines simultaneously
Comfortable working onsite in San Diego with the agility to communicate with remote stakeholders
Positive, solution-oriented mindset; proactive approach to identifying issues and improving processes
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred
Experience in CPG, beauty, skincare, retail, DTC, or ecommerce strongly preferred
