Responsibilities
Design and document mechanical product solutions for customer applications
Lead engineering projects through all phases to production release
Develop and manage 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
Gather and maintain product and project requirements with customers and teams
Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and product manuals
Partner with manufacturing and vendors from prototype to production
Process engineering change orders for new designs and product updates
Collaborate with manufacturing, service, and purchasing on customer orders
Lead and participate in formal design reviews
Plan and execute verification and reliability testing
Track project requirements, schedules, and budgets
Support NCMRs, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering required
2+ years of mechanical engineering in manufacturing is required
Proficiency with 3D CAD is required
Strong knowledge of drafting, drawing, & document control standards is required
Experience designing machine components, weldments, or sheet metal assemblies required
Ability to work 100% on-site in Billerica, MA, is required
