Start in 2026 SummerPACCAR Technical Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the development and validation of emerging technologies such as vehicle electrification and autonomous driving systems. The Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in our Advanced Technologies team, where interns will contribute to the development of advanced driver-assistance systems and machine learning diagnostics.

Responsibilities
The intern will work within the Advanced Technology team and contribute to the development of a Level 4 (L4) Advanced Driver-Assistance System
More specifically, the intern will focus on Machine learning based durability driver vehicle diagnostics
During the internship, the student will set up an approach for replacing one of the main functions of the driver (such as hearing, seeing, or feeling a truck response) with a set of sensors and signal monitoring processes, leveraging Machine Learning
The solution will be tested in collaboration with the Advanced Engineering team and the Advanced Technology team at the PACCAR Technical Center
Qualification
Required
Willingness to work in cross-functional teams
Junior or higher standing toward an engineering degree
Preferred
Experience with machine learning desired
Experience with programming (Python, Matlab, etc.)
Experience doing data postprocessing and data analysis
Hands-on, not afraid to work with sensors and trucks
