Responsibilities
Provide direction, mentorship, and performance management for the structural engineering team
Lead structural design efforts across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring technical excellence, quality control, and adherence to project schedules
Serve as the senior technical authority for structural engineering, reviewing calculations, drawings, and specifications
Manage staffing, workload forecasting, and resource allocation to support project demands
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, civil, and project management teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
Support business development by participating in client meetings, preparing proposals, and contributing to project scoping
Develop and refine department standards, workflows, and best practices to enhance efficiency and consistency
Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and technical innovation within the department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
10+ years of structural engineering experience, especially someone coming from a Design Engineering Firm
3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license or SE license a plus
Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as STAAD, RISA, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of building codes including IBC, ASCE, AISC, and ACI
Excellent communication and client‑facing skills with the ability to lead teams and influence outcomes
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering
