Facilities Engineer & Project Manager
Anoplate Corporation is a leader in aerospace and industrial surface treatments, seeking a Facilities Engineer / Project Manager to oversee facility-related projects. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project execution, managing resources, and troubleshooting critical facility equipment.
Responsibilities
Develop the project charter with key stakeholders and bring the concept to life
Manage the planning phase of projects by developing detailed project management plans, defining and manage project scope, determine the resources (money, manpower, equipment, etc.) required to successfully complete the project, identify quality requirements, and plan for identified potential risks
Stakeholder management. Review the project schedule with all stakeholders and all other outside contractors that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
Develop, define and/or manage all of the engineering documentation required for projects and/or changes to projects. (Example: Drawings, Schematics, Programs)
Designs, builds, maintains, and optimizes facility systems and related equipment
Investigate and resolve complex facility & equipment related issues
Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
In consultation with the appropriate manager, select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
Manage project staff and/or volunteers according to the established policies and practices of the organization. Ensure that all project staff receive an appropriate orientation to the project
Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate and orchestrate timing of activities with internal departments
Execute the project plan. Document project activities and establishing a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project. Project plan should be posted as a time-based visual schedule and set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented
Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
Monitor the progress of the project and make tactical adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
Control the project through communicating with finance and vendors as necessary while monitoring and controlling all project expenditures. Manage all project costs according to established accounting policies and procedures
Evaluate the project to ensure that the project deliverables were on time, within budget and at the required level of quality. Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase and hold lessoned learned meetings with select staff

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or associate degree with 5-10 years in experience in Industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field
5+ years' experience in project management or have any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Must possess an expert understanding of manufacturing methods and processes, including flow, layout, and production equipment
Candidates must possess a strong technical aptitude and the ability to apply lean thinking to projects, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving, project management, delegation, and employee development
The ability to learn quickly and embrace Anoplate's business strategy by understanding Anoplate's niche in the market and be able to align internal resources around the opportunities in that market
Must possess excellent business judgment, utilize metrics to measure success and possess the drive to continuously improve their performance
This individual's style and approach must demonstrate superior service and communication
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external customers with professionalism, poise, and polish
The ability to work and collaborate effectively with all business partners including senior management, industry partners, and all individuals internally
Must be able to multi-task and manage highly detailed work while balancing multiple projects
Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and possess a very proactive approach with a bias for taking action
Must possess the ability to work through others outside of direct reporting lines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Long periods of sitting, bending and stooping required to perform the essential functions of this position
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs and lift objects of up to 40 lbs. as required
