6+ years expeTeam is focused on supporting a state-wide application modernization initiative. The Full Stack Developer will contribute to the modernization of mission-critical systems by building modern web applications using Microsoft Blazor and .NET technologies.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance modernized web applications as part of a legacy system replacement program
Develop user-facing applications using Microsoft Blazor (Server and/or WebAssembly) to improve usability, accessibility, and performance
Build and maintain backend services using .NET / .NET Core, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented architectures
Support modernization and re-engineering efforts, including refactoring legacy code, migrating business logic, and improving system maintainability
Implement data access layers and work with SQL Server to support transactional and reporting needs
Ensure solutions comply with state IT standards, including security, accessibility (e.g., WCAG), and performance requirements
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demos
Support system integration with internal and external state systems
Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness activities
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in full stack application development
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Blazor (Blazor Server and/or Blazor WebAssembly)
Strong expertise in C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API
Experience modernizing or replacing legacy applications (monolithic systems, older frameworks, or custom platforms)
Strong experience with SQL Server, including data modeling, queries, stored procedures, and optimization
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive UI design
Experience working in Agile delivery models on large, multi-year programs
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
Preferred
Prior experience on state or public sector modernization initiatives
Exposure to cloud-based modernization (Azure preferred)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployments
Understanding of security, compliance, and governance requirements in government environments
Experience with microservices or service-based architectures
